Glasgow Warriors and Glasgow Hawks tourist stand-off Colin Gregor has re-signed for the club on a one year contract.
Colin, who was previously with the club on a specialist sevens contract, has scored an impressive 86 points in his eleven appearances for Glasgow so far this season (six starts, five as a replacement) including 21 of Glasgow's 26 points in the victory over Munster at Thomond Park in February.
Colin, aka Budgie, has recently returned to Glasgow following a spell away with the Scotland 7s team at the Commonwealth games in Melbourne followed by two tournaments on the IRB sevens circuit – Hong Kong and Singapore.
He said: "I've really enjoyed my rugby at Glasgow and I'm very happy to be staying here. Having been on a sevens contract means I've split my time between the sevens side on the IRB circuit and playing XVs here with the Warriors but my new contract means I can concentrate fully on the XVs aspect of my game. With the recent changes at Glasgow and an encouraging mood in the club for next season, I feel very positive about my rugby here and I'm now looking forward to having what will hopefully be a successful season with Glasgow."
Warriors head coach Sean Lineen, said: "Colin has worked hard and demonstrated to us that he really deserves this contract. He's a very skilful player and a good runner and passer and I think his background in sevens has gone a long way to developing those skills."
