Glasgow came close but fell at the final hurdle to Edinburgh in the Jenkins and Marr Glasgow City Sevens at Dumbreck.
Impressive displays from Glasgow saw off Edinburgh Accies, Melrose and Sale before they went down 40-24 to Edinburgh Gunners in the final.

However, there was some consolation for Glasgow as Iain Kennedy took the player of the tournament award after an afternoon of outstanding displays
