SRU PRESS RELEASE RE INTERNATIONAL TICKETS

Bank of Scotland Corporate extends backing of Scotland's Autumn Internationals

Scottish Rugby delivers on promise of family-friendly ticket pricing

Bank of Scotland Corporate is to continue its backing for Scotland's Autumn Test matches at Murrayfield, today announcing a new, substantial, two-year deal.

The Bank, which sponsored the 2005 Autumn internationals, today confirmed its sponsorship of the 2006 series, which encompasses games against Australia, the Pacific Islanders and Romania. The Bank will also sponsor two Tests in the lead-up to the Rugby World Cup in 2007 and has an option to extend the sponsorship to a third year in 2008.

Meanwhile, supporters can attend all three games this autumn for a total of just £30 (or just £60 for the best seats in the stadium) with children, students and pensioners able to take in the matches for a total of just £15.

SRU Chief Executive Gordon McKie said: "The decision by Bank of Scotland Corporate to back our Autumn international matches for a further two years is a ringing endorsement of Scottish Rugby's determination to get things right both on and off the pitch."

Brian Johnston, Head of Corporate Banking at BOSC, said: "We are delighted to be extending our commitment to the SRU through our continued sponsorship of the Autumn Test matches. The drive and ambition being displayed currently by the management and players at the SRU is inspiring and we're looking forward to some great games in the Autumn."

Gordon McKie added: "This season, under the guidance of Frank Hadden, the Scotland team have set about the business of restoring our credibility as a major rugby nation, achieving a highest ever finish in the Six Nations Championship, posting superb wins against France and England at Murrayfield, and achieving an impressive 66-19 win over the Barbarians last night. Now, as a rugby business, we are making good our promise on delivering an all-inclusive ticket pricing strategy for these Autumn Tests."

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday 2 June. For the game against Romania on Saturday 11 November, tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. For the match against the Pacific Islands on Saturday 18 November they are £10 and £20 for adults and £5 and £10 for concessions. For the match against Australia on Saturday 25 November they are £10, £20 and £30 for adults, with concessions at £5, £10 and £15. All three matches at Murrayfield kick-off at 2.30pm.

John Donnelly, Scottish Rugby's Head of Commercial and Marketing, said: "We have listened to our customers and have devised a ticket pricing strategy for the Autumn internationals which makes the matches accessible to all and that reinforces the bond between the Scotland team and their supporters.

"Coming to Murrayfield on an international match day is a special experience. That's why our message to supporters is 'Feel every moment. See it for real,' and at these prices everyone can."
