Scotland U-21 46
Georgia 14
SCOTLAND ensured that they will finish their IRB Under-21 World Championship against quality opposition in the shape of Fiji after a routine fourth-round victory over Georgia at Issoire yesterday.
The lack of quality of the opposition allowed Scotland to field replacement squad members Calum Forrester and Colin Goudie, with full-back Goudie showing a useful turn of pace in assisting a John Barclay try and in running in a score of his own. "Colin played very well for his first match at this level," noted coach Iain Paxton.
Scotland led 26-0 at the break after tries from Ian Kennedy, two from Cammy Johnston and one from Ben Cairns, with Kyle Traynor, Greig Laidlaw, Goudie and Barclay completing the rout converted by stand-off Lasha Malaguradze.
