I'm sure that the rumour mill will have been turning but we are (Scottish
2XV League Committee) have been informed of withdrawal of 8 Borders clubs
and Haddington to form a Border 2XV League.
Whilst this is regretable, we have met and agreed for next season to
consolidate our leagues into 2 divs of 12 teams each playing an extended
competition. I can't find my bold button but please note that, as said, this
is for next season only and we're not confirming promotion or relegation
status yet but will do as soon as possible.
Div 1: Stirling Co. Glasgow Hawks, Heriots, Stewarts Melville, Boroughmuir,
Biggar, Watsonians, Edinburgh Accies, GHA, Hillhead/Jordanhill, Currie,
Aberdeen GSFP.
Div. 2: Ayr, Murrayfield Wanderers, Dundee HSFP, Preston Lodge, Cartha QP,
Edinburgh Univ., Livingston, Musselburgh, Dunfermline, East Kilbride,
Hamilton, RHC.
