Iain Kennedy starts for Scotland's U21

Iain Kennedy starts for Scotland's U21 team for Sunday's match against Fiji which will decide ninth place in the IRB World Championship in France.
Scotland have made five changes, two of which are positional. Glasgow's Iain Kennedy switches to inside centre instead of Chris Dunlop, making way for Ben Addison on the left wing. Sean Crombie takes over from Kyle Traynor at hooker and Alan MacDonald swaps flanks to replace Scott Newlands as Ross Rennie returns at openside.

Glasgow's John Barclay and James Eddie also start.

The Scots come into the match on the back of an eight-try victory over Georgia last Wednesday. Earlier in the tournament, Fiji lost to England (8-34) and Australia (20-43) before beating Italy twice, once in the pool stages by 43-17 and then in last Wednesday’s play-offs, 33-12.

Scotland U21 team manager John Jeffrey said: "It's an important game for us as we want to win three of our five games. We had a good victory over Georgia but we're still disappointed not to be aiming for a higher position.

"The Fijians are everything you'd expect them to be – big, strong and athletic. They've been one of the surprises of the tournament running England close in their first game.

"But it's more about how we approach it and our game plan is to retain the ball and win our last match of the championship. It's also the last game for many of the boys at this age-group so there’s pride to play for too and we want to finish on a high."
