FIXTURES 2006/2007
Please find attached a schedule of fixtures for all Divisions in the Premiership, National League and Regional Leagues for the coming season.
Please note that there are Motions and Amendments to the AGM on 30th June which, if passed, would impact on this fixture list. This schedule should therefore be regarded as provisional until after that date.
As you will see, due to a lack of available Saturdays it has been necessary to utilise the weekends of two of the Autumn Internationals for scheduled league fixtures. Clubs are, however, encouraged to be flexible over these weekends (11th and 18th November) and wherever possible mutually to arrange kick-offs so as not to prohibit those wishing to attend the matches at Murrayfield from doing so. Saturday afternoon fixtures in direct opposition to the Internationals should be regarded as a last resort; the use of Friday evenings, where floodlights permit, or Sundays is therefore encouraged. It is important at this time that we all get behind the national team.
Deviation from the normal dates/kick-off times will only be approved when both clubs agree and both independently confirm agreement to the revised date/time in advance.
Please note that postponed fixtures will be rescheduled to the next available standby date, including Cup dates in the event of both clubs not having a Cup fixture on that date. In many cases this will be the following weekend and will therefore mean rescheduling at short notice. Please, therefore, take careful note of the standby/Cup dates listed at the bottom of your fixture schedule and anticipate the possibility of fixtures on these dates.
Please also be aware that with the increase in the number of fixtures there are only a very limited number of standby dates available. It is therefore in everyone’s interest that fixtures are played on the scheduled dates and postponements are kept to an absolute minimum.
