HAWKS CLAIM WARRIORS TOUCH TITLE

Glasgow Hawks have won the inaugural Glasgow Warriors Club Touch tournament beating Ayr in the final. A gloriously sunny day at Whitecraigs RFC saw thirty clubs battle it out for the title as well as taking part in a tug of war competition while enjoying a great day out.
Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: “Congratulations to Hawks who played well throughout the tournament. It’s been a great day and we’ve all really enjoyed it – particularly our players who, if they were not refereeing the touch games, were out an about in the crowd chatting with supporters and helping out with the other activities.”
Warriors captain Alastair Kellock added: “We’d like to thank all the clubs and supporters for coming along to join in our day, which was great fun, and a good start to our pre-season programme. A special mention has to go to Newton Stewart who won the Tug of War competition. Hopefully, all the people who were here today will come along to our home games this season and we can build on the Warriors community spirit.”
