Afternoon all,

In 6 days time I am leaving for Kyrgyzstan to spend 3 weeks attempting to climb a mountain called Khan Tengri (6,995m/ 22,949ft). The technical standard of the climbing, the high altitude and the remoteness of the mountains will make it an extremely serious and committing undertaking. By organising and undertaking this independent, 2-man expedition I hope to raise as much money as possible for Maggies Cancer Centres, while pushing my own mental and physical boundaries. I plan to use this expedition as preparation for climbing Cho Oyu (the 6th highest mountain in the world) next year and finally Mount Everest in 2008.
