Watsonians sign two to aid title push
DAVID FERGUSON
HAVING finished second in their first year back in Division One, Watsonians have signed up two young Borderers to help their push to reclaim the title from Glasgow Hawks.
Torrie Callander, the son of former Scotland hooker and skipper Gary, has left Kelso for Myreside despite the fact his father has agreed to remain as head coach at Poynder Park.
Joining him on the road north is Andrew Skeen, the talented young Berwick back, who was a star on the sevens circuit last season with Newcastle, his former club. Skeen will help fill the void left by centre Bryan Rennie's move to Edinburgh.
Glasgow Hawks have also been active in the transfer market and among their new faces are Dave Millard, the former Glasgow Warriors utility back - who returns from a spell with full-timers Coventry - and Scotland sevens cap John Fitzpatrick.
