Scotland’s rugby clubs will be gathering at Murrayfield on Sunday to attend the Union’s first Financial General Meeting.
Previously the presentation of the Union’s annual accounts was part of the annual general meeting but, in line with the needs of Scottish Rugby, it was felt appropriate to hold a separate meeting to present the financial statements.
The meeting will hear from SRU Chief Executive Gordon McKie and Finance Director Eamon Hegarty. Thereafter Scottish Rugby Board chairman Allan Munro will outline the next steps for the SRU and Colin Thomson, the Union’s Head of Community Rugby will update clubs on rugby development plans.
SRU secretary Graham Ireland said: “Sunday represents an opportunity for our clubs to receive an update as to the progress being made by Scottish Rugby, and to raise any questions they have. We would encourage as many clubs as possible to attend and to participate in this process”.
The meeting begins at 1.30pm in the President\'s Suite at Murrayfield Stadium.
