HAWKS DIM NORTHERN LIGHTS

Rory Kerr's try secured a bounus point win for Hawks

Premiership champions Glasgow Hawks shook off the cobwebs to thump Aberdeen 34-14 at Rubislaw - with debut star Rory Kerr earning a place on the scoresheet.

The former Scotland and Glasgow Warriors back-three man picked up the last try which made sure of the precious bonus point.

Kenny Sinclair, Stevie Gordon and Gavin Mories had notched the earlier Hawks touchdowns, with Mike Adamson producing a superb kicking display which yielded three penalties and the same number of conversions.

The Dons could only respond with tries from Martin Stanning and veteran playmaker Keith Oddie, who also converted twice
