Five changes for Glasgow

Five changes for Glasgow
Glasgow Warriors have announced their team for tomorrow night's Magners League match with Munster at Hughenden (7.30pm).
Sean Lineen has made a total of five changes (one positional) to his starting line up.

In the backs, winger Colin Shaw drops to the bench to make way for Hefin O'Hare, who swaps wings with Thom Evans.

New signing Sean Marsden makes his Glasgow debut at outside centre in place of Graeme Morrison and stalwart scrum half Graeme Beveridge replaces fellow internationalist Sam Pinder, who joins the bench.

In the forwards, the one change comes in the back row where John Barclay replaces Donnie Macfadyen at openside flanker.

"The combination needs freshened up as last week it didn't work as well as we would have liked," said Sean.

"There are a number of players pushing for places and on top of that, there are still guys who are coming back from injury so I really want to give these players a chance.

"It's a long season and we have a lot of competition within the squad, especially in the centre and in the back row where there are a lot of youngsters coming through. I'm looking forward to see how this line-up blends.

Meanwhile, the Glasgow back-up squad will face the Edinburgh Gunners back-up squad in a training match at Whitecraigs on Monday.

The match will see a number of players who have been on the long-term injury list, such as Scott Lawson, Scott Barrow and Ben Prescott, make their comeback.

"There are a lot of guys coming back from injury who really need game time," continued Sean.

"I'm very interested to see people like Stuart Corsar and James Eddie get a run and Mike Roberts needs some match time to find his top form.

"We need to see what players like Donnie Macfadyen and Graeme Morrison can do with more ball in hand as well as see the Academy players like Calum Forrester and Jamie Hunter stand up and be counted."
