Ruddick recalls try fest as 'Muir aim to ruffle Hawks' feathers

EDINBURGH EVENING NEWS REPORTS
BILL LOTHIAN

BOROUGHMUIR star Stephen Ruddick admits he hopes to draw inspiration from a career milestone as he prepares for a rare wing outing against champions Glasgow Hawks at Meggetland tomorrow.

Switched from centre in a three change line-up - in addition to Charlie Keenan also dropping out are Stuart McGhee and Sean Hollywood with Andy Knight and Joni Hare taking over at scrum half and flanker respectively - Ruddick said: "Last time I started there, in the Cup last season, I scored a hat-trick."

That was in an 85-0 romp at Forrester but tomorrow's encounter will be considerably tougher, especially with Hawks listing former Scotland wing and Edinburgh signing target Rory Kerr in their squad.
