Three of the great Glasgow Academicals of the 1920s-Max Simmers,Jimmie Dykes and Jimmie Nelson all capped at the same time along with Herbert Waddell and the legendary John M Bannerman of Glasgow H.S.F.P

Both John Bannerman and Jimmie Dykes played in the historic match between Scotland/Ireland v England/Wales which took place in the Close at Rugby School in 1923 to recognise the centenary of William Webb Ellis's famous disregard of the rules

Plus 1924 and 1938 Lions Teams which included Herbert Waddell 1924 and Laurie Duff 1938
1955 Lions with Angus Cameron as vice captain
