Changes for Glasgow

Glasgow Warriors have made a number of changes to their starting line-up for their clash with Italian outfit GRAN Parma in their first home match of this season's European Challenge Cup.
The game marks the first start in a senior match for ScottLawson this season as he spent the first three matches recovering from shoulder surgery and made his comeback in the back-up team win against Edinburgh at Whitecraigs last month. Thereafter, he has come onto the park as a substitute in four of the last five senior matches. He said: "I'm just really keen to get back into things properly. I've been working hard both on and off the pitch to make sure that when I get the chance to come on then I can hopefully make a difference. Of course all the guys are keen to stake a claim for a starting place in the team and we're all giving 100% for Glasgow so I just need to do my best and keep performing as well as I can for the club.”

Jon Petrie was unfortunate enough to suffer the same fate as he did the previous year – injured in the first match of the season. The hand injury restricted his club appearances and when he was due to make his comeback in the back-up match against the Border Reivers earlier this month, he was called into the Scotland training squad and so had to withdraw from the Warriors team. He added: "It's been a frustrating season so far but I now have a chance to get out there and make every effort to secure a good performance for the team. There's no easy match in European competition so we're certainly not taking our task tomorrow evening lightly."

Glasgow forwards coach Shade Munro said: "These guys need game time as they haven't played in a while. With the Autumn Tests fast approaching, we need to make sure that as many of our forwards have game time under their belt as possible as, hopefully, a number of our pack will be selected for international duty and those remaining here with the Warriors need to be on their game and match fit."

Lock Dan Turner has also been named ahead of Andy Newman in the second row and Kevin Tkachuk starts in the front row ahead of Justin Va'a while one of last week's Glasgow try scorers Hefin O'Hare starts on the left wing following the injury to Thom Evans in the match against Saracens.
