FERGUS CALLED UP TO SCOTLAND A

Glasgow Warriors pair Scott Lawson and Sam Pinder have been called into this week's Scotland training squad ahead of the autumn Test series.

Scott and Sam were drafted in after Dougie Hall and Mike Blair were injured during Edinburgh's 25-24 Heineken Cup win over Leinster.

Scotland doctor James Robson said: "Dougie has sustained a knock to his left hip, while Mike has bruising to his left calf and right knee.

"Both are the sort of injuries you would expect from a match of yesterday's intensity."

But the initial indications are that neither player will be ruled out of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests at Murrayfield.

Scotland face Romania on November 11 before Pacific Islanders and Australia visit on the following two Saturdays.

Scott's promotion to the national squad means his Glasgow team-mate former Hawk Fergus Thomson will join tomorrow's Scotland A training session.
