ROUND THREE NATIONAL CUP DRAW; ROUND ONE NATIONAL PLATE DRAW

The National League clubs enter the fray for the third round draw of the National Cup which was made at Murrayfield today.
The draw was made by Oban Lorne back-row forwards, twins Cameron and Struan Smith, and Panmure full-back Jonathan Norrie.
Both clubs posted victories in the second-round – Oban Lorne accounting for the Isle of Mull and Panmure pipping Alloa after a close-fought encounter.
Cameron and Struan, fourth-year engineering students at Heriot-Watt University, are looking forward to Oban’s third round tie, away to Edinburgh University. “We played them recently for Heriot-Watt in the BUSA League and they just won,” Cameron said.
“I would think the Oban forwards will dominate them but the Uni backs will be pretty lively,” he added.
Panmure also find themselves travelling for the third round draw. They’ll be playing Highland in Inverness.
Jonathan Norrie said: “Our scrum-half, who is now refereeing, Garry Grant, used to play for Highland for a number of seasons so his knowledge could come in handy.”
