Scotland 7s 14, France 7s 21

Scotland suffered their second defeat of the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens this afternoon against France 7s.

Both of Scotland’s tries came from Border Reivers winger Mark Robertson and were converted by Glasgow Warriors stand-off Ruaridh Jackson.

Head coach Stephen Gemmell said: “The guys are gutted because they know it was a game they could’ve won.

“It’s a pretty disappointed dressing room at the moment but we have to lift our heads up and get on with the next task in hand which is Zimbabwe.”

Scotland’s final Pool game today is against Zimbabwe who beat France this morning in their first fixture which was followed by a 29-0 loss to England 7s.

Scotland 7s will play Zimbabwe 7s at 2:28pm GMT, 6:28pm local time.
