In the third game of the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, the Scotland 7s team recorded their first win of the 2006/07 IRB Sevens World Series.

Mark Robertson got his third try of the tournament having already scored twice against France.

Roddy Grant and Ruaridh Jackson ran over for Scotland’s other scores with Jackson converting two tries.

Head coach Stephen Gemmell said: “The boys really dug in and played well. It’s a great lift for the team to get a win ahead of tomorrow.

“I’m really encouraged by the progress that the team has made over the three games today.”
