We are only four days away from the Annual Boxing Day festivities at New Anniesland. As I'm sure you are all aware these kick off with a family lunch in the clubhouse at 12 noon - £15 a head, contact Alasdair Graham on 0141 6164056 or [email protected] asap if you would like to attend. This is followed by the Accies vs Accie Exiles rugby matches at 2:00. The 1st XV Exiles are one ahead in the series (4-3) and look to be fielding another strong team featuring many Premiership players - as usual it should be a very entertaining match, the forecast is for crisp and clear winter sun and the pitch is in fantastic condition considering the recent monsoon so lots of running is on the cards. It is also the intention to have a second XV match running simultaneously on the Curling Pond for anyone who fancies a little trot - please let Alasdair or me know if you would like to participate so we know how many to expect. After the rugby things pick up pace a bit, the social night of the year (Boxing Day Disco) will take place in the Clubhouse - it all kicks off at 7-30pm. The disco has been arranged and Kenny Barron will keep you fed. Tickets £6 (£3 for students and under 21's) are available at the door on the night.
