Accies mid term report

Rugby Report

The 1st XV have had mixed fortunes recently, the league performance have been improving steadily but were punctuated by an awful thrashing at Falkirk in the cup two weeks ago. This now puts us in the Bowl, we finally have drawn a home match and will play the loser of the Cumbernauld vs Grangemouth game tomorrow to decide who will proceed to the final 16.

It is hard to explain the 2nd XV situation at the moment. We are fielding a strong team, playing good rugby, there is a strong team spirit and the players are enjoying their rugby, but for some reason we are finding it very difficult to win games against opposition we should be beating. It seems that most of our losses this season have been decided by an opposition try against the run of play in the last ten minutes of the game. It is indeed frustrating, if anyone can offer the guys a solution then please step forward!!

The \'Anniesland Stags\' had a run of 6 games but unfortunately have not now played since October. For some unknown reason it became harder and harder to find willing bodies and eventually the inevitable happened - the organisers got fed up and \'chucked it in\'. What a shame, we thought we were on to a good thing for a while there!
