Melrose rounded off their mixed campaign on a high note by edging out Glasgow Hawks 12-8 in a dour encounter at The Greenyards. Scott Wight and Wayne Mitchell were the home try-gatherers, the former adding a conversion.

This result meant that Hawks finished 5th in the Premiership Div 1

Next Saturday sees Hawks travel to Greenock wanderers for the Scottish Hydro Electric Cup tie
