HAWKS UNDER 15S REACH NATIONAL FINALS

Glasgow Hawks U 15s, 60 – Greenock U 15s, 0

3 cheers for Robert Cheape. He knew how important this game was to 28 boys, their parents and coaches. The result was in never in any doubt but the game had to be played and 5 mins into the 2 nd half the magic 60 was reached.

The boys were fantastic, no rugby since the start of November and you would never have known. The 1st try came in 30 secs when Jonny Byrne Leitch went over for the 1 st of 2 tries. Rory Taylor scored a couple, Max Martin,Elliot Connell, Aiden McCall-Hagan, Finn Campbell Young, Sean McAlindon and Robbie Nicholson all scored 1 a piece. Chris Rhodes scored 5 conversions bringing the total to 60. The game continued to allow the boys game time and to let all members of the squad play and a further 4 tries were scored without reply. All in all a good afternoons work which has been a long time coming.

The Under 15s are now Glasgow and District champions and go on to represent the District in the nationals. We are drawn in a group consisting of Boroughmuir, Stirling and Hawick. I am sure that sterner tests lie ahead in these games and the boys know that, for the minute however lets hear it for the following:

Patrick Bell, Jonny Byrne-Leitch, Tom Cahn, Finn Campbell-Young, Elliot Connell, Cameron Crozier, Stephen Dickson, David Eadie, Scott Fraser, Rory Henderson, Robbie Hirst, Andy Homer, Quintin Liao, Max Martin, Sean McAlindon, Aidan McCall-Hagan, Jack McDougall, Ross MacFarlane, Kenny McGowan, Robbie Nicholson, Iain Parry, Chris Rhodes, Graham Robertson, Rory Stewart, Zac Small, Jamie Swanson, Rory Taylor and Jamie Yacoubian.

Thanks of all players and parents to our coaching team of Gregor Logan and Fisky.
