In a tight contest at the Bearyards watched by Glasgow Warriers Captain Ally Kellock, Accies came from behind to score a try & conversion in the last minute to beat Allan Glens 19 – 16.
The match was disrupted by a couple of unusual incidents beginning with the kick off being delayed by 35 minutes as the match referee was stuck in the Glasgow roadworks traffic chaos. Then in the second half, unfortunately, flanker Paul Allan sustained a serious looking neck injury. He was taken to hospital by Ambulance. Fortunately, he appears to have been declared ok but naturally no chances are being taken. The game was temporarily suspended while the game was transferred to Glens' 2 nd XV pitch, however the teams had to wait for Glens' 2nd XV to finish their game.
With the lack of daylight becoming a serious threat to the game finishing Accies scored with the last serious play of the game through Jamie Doig to win.
