The U 15s had a very worthwhile session down at Ayr on Sunday. We were several regular players down for this training match and that allowed a number of players to stake a claim for the starting 22 against Boroughmuir this Sunday.
There were 3 twenty minute sessions and the Ayr boys were out to show that the early season result was a blip in their otherwise successful campaign. Indeed after the first 20 the scores were tied at 1 try a piece and the match was extremely competitive. In the end however the young Hawks “won” quite comfortably by 6 tries to 1. This session wasn’t really about winning and losing but was an opportunity for both sides to get a decent run before the Nationals. Ayr play Currie and Hawks play Boroughmuir in what I am sure will be classic East-v-West confrontations. We wish Ayr all the very best.
If you happen to be at a loose end on Sunday and want to witness what I am sure will be a very close fought and entertaining encounter, the KO at Meggetland is at 12:30.
