FORTRESS SCOTLAND OR NOT TO FORTRESS SCOTLAND

When you examine the current exodus of players south whats new.
Professional rugby has been on the go 10 years professional soccer has been on the go over 120 years
By the time the Wembley Wizards hit London in 1928 professional soccer was a way of life
Just look at the team who on that day beat England 5-1 and where they plied their trade

John Harkness (Queen's Park), James Nelson (Cardiff City), Thomas Law (Chelsea), Jimmy Gibson (Aston Villa), Thomas Bradshaw (Bury), Jimmy McMullan (Man City, capt), Alex Jackson (Huddersfield), James Dunn (Hibernian), Hughie Gallacher (Newcastle), Alec James (Preston), Alan Morton (Rangers)

p.s Although not all were embracing the professional era as the goalie would be adhering to the motto of Queens Park "ludere causa ludende" the game for the games sake
Alan Morton was born at Old Anniesland in Skaterig farmhouse where now stands the High School
