GLASGOW CITY SEVENS
Guest sides drawn from Scotland and England will be competing for the honour of winning the inaugural “Glasgow City Sevens”.
Sevens from SALE SHARKS and the Rugby Academies of both GLASGOW RUGBY and EDINBURGH RUGBY will line up alongside "King of the Sevens" MELROSE and Scottish Premiership Champions GLASGOW HAWKS in a Tournament which is now firmly on course to becoming the ‘Blue Riband’ event of the sevens circuit outside of The Greenyards.
There has been a sevens tournament at Dumbreck each year since 1950, and this year’s event marks the culmination of an excellent season for Cartha Queen’s Park, including the winning of promotion to Division Two of the Premiership.
The ‘Glasgow City Sevens’ will be preceded by a Rugby Union Skills Clinic for children from 9 to 14 years. This will run from 9:30am until 12:00 noon, and will involve coaching provided by Glasgow Rugby and Sale Sharks.
