Hawks put together an Under 18 side which played
against a touring Canadian side on Sunday afternoon. Despite the
atrocious conditions the skill levels were, at times, of a very high
order as Hawks overwhelmed their visitors.
A highlight was the Canadian half-time chant which seemed to be about
convincing themselves that it was not really snowing and the conditions
were really quite sultry . However, this mind over matter approach did
not convince the hardy spectators who shivered their way through an
entertaining match.

In addition, I received fulsome praise for Rory Kerr's contribution to
the S1 session on Sunday morning at their secret training facility in a
stable some place. They have also benefited recently from a session with
Coxy. Many thanks to all our players who make these contributions - the
young Hawks really appreciate it.

With the S1s and the Under 15s both playing in the National finals on
Sunday 25th we wish them well.
