THE YOONI SEVENS

Your reporter as a lone Accie trying to establish the facts about the Uni Sevens through the haze of the GHK Rugby /Hockey dinner was a bit like the reporter from the Bismarck Tribune trying to find out what happened at the Little Big Horn.
On the premise that you don't let the facts get in the way of a good story here goes;

GHK (superbly coached by David Ross or so he told us during an hour long oration at the dinner) retained the Shield

The tie between Accies and the Yooni was marred by a pitch invasion by irate fans

East Kilbride made a mysterious appearance having equally mysteriously not appeared at Cartha.

Mike Adamson took the pitch for a cameo appearance on a "non contact" basis not sure how that actually works.

Messrs Fearnley and Jones having answered Lenny's call to Cartha lost to Melrose then took the route through the tunnel to Garscube.Having asssisted the cause on both sides of the Clyde they were asked to turn out for Whitecraigs in the final and helped them lose an unassailable lead--or so the story goes

Meanwhile back in Billings Montana you can actually buy a beer called Custer's Last Stout.

Have a good summer
