Rugby Times with Ally Kellock
Ally Kellock, Glasgow Warriors skipper
TWO and a half months of RBS 6 Nations Championship work is now over, which means a week off to recuperate for the Glasgow Warriors guys who were involved.
Some of the players will obviously need this more than others. Prop Euan Murray, for example, played in every game - and played well - so he will need the week off just to let his body recover.
For others, it will be a chance to get a break, but continue working hard in the gym.
On Sunday week we take on Saracens in what will be our biggest game of the season so far - the European Challenge Cup quarter-final at Vicarage Road, London (3pm).
advertisementA lot of the guys had a run-out against club side Glasgow Hawks on Tuesday night, to get used to physical contact again after not playing for three weeks.
We are entering what is the most important part of our season so we need a strong finish in the league to ensure we finish further up the Magners League table.
In European com-petition, it is fantastic that we are still involved at this stage and we are looking to go as far as we can.
It is a great oppor-tunity for us and I hope some of you can make the trip down as we will be doing our best to make it a proud occasion.
Although it is a week off, fly-half Dan Parks and I were at Cameron House Hotel on Wednesday with some of the Scotland football team.
Purely Scottish Water sponsor our international rugby and football teams, so we were at Loch Lomond doing a photo-shoot and we managed to get some tickets for the game against Georgia.
So, good luck to Scotland at Hampden tomorrow - hopefully it will be a good day.
