Murray Strang helped Hawks to victory in Aberdeen

Club Round-up 26

Glasgow Hawks overpowered Aberdeen as they romped to a 46-28 victory in the Scottish Hydro Electric Super Cup tie at Rubislaw.
Stuart Low claimed two tries, the others going to Stuart Smith, Sean Murray, Ricky Munday and Murray Strang, who also converted three times and added a penalty.

For the hosts, Glasgow Warriors' Moray Low, Billy Russell and Grant Strang went over, while Ben Spearitt slotted two conversions and three penalties.

South Edinburgh neighbours Boroughmuir and Watsonians will clash in next Saturday's Scottish Hydro Super Cup final at Myreside.

The Meggetland men won their section by seeing off the challenge of Ayr at Millbrae in a 52-21 hammering.

Malcolm Clapperton and Elgan O'Donnell led the try charge with two apiece, the others coming from Martyn, Cairns, Fisher, Cotterell and Scott.

O'Donnell also landed two conversions, with three successful kicks coming from the boot of Ross Cooke.

Ayr's consolation efforts were snapped up by AJ McFarlane, Cammy Taylor and Damian Kelly. Playmaker Nick Lavelle marked his last appearance before heading home to Australia with all the conversions.
