With the upcoming Scottish Cup Tie at Old Anniesland between Hawks and Heriots there will be quite a build up of interest,however it is unlikely that the crowd will exceed the attendance of 10,000 that turned up at New Anniesland for the Glasgow Accies match aginst Heriots in Season 1922-23,.and for the first time special trains were run from Edinburgh.On this occasion Accies played in the Jambos' colours of maroon and white
The interest in this fixture during that era was so great that when the match was played in Edinburgh in 1925 the game was switched from Goldenacre to Inverleith to accomodate the 18,000 who wished to attend
