GHK vs Marr

GHK travelled to Troon with a significantly changed team from the previous week and only two on the bench.

After 15 minutes of what was proving to be a fairly physical encounter Marr exposed some poor defensive alighnment which allowed their pacy winger to score an unconverted try. GHK held out for a further 15 minutes before Marr broke out of their own half utilising fast hands to scored a converted try.


At this stage Cammy and Chas in quick succession went off injured to be replaced by Fraser Johnston and Ali McAra. GHK then conceded a penalty try for an offside offence to make it 19-0.

As half time approached fast hands by Marr resulted in a half time score of 26-0.

At the start of the second half GHK at last put the Marr line under pressure but no score resulted. However shortly after a left hand break by the Marr no 12 resulted in another converted try. To compound matters Colin had to leave the pitch with an injured hand and we were down to fourteen players.

At this stage Marr were playing with a lot of confidence and scored four longe range tries to run out comfortable winners
