Candidates for the three places representing the BT Premier Divisions on the new Scottish Rugby Council are announced today.

They are (one to be elected from each division):

BT Premier Division 1 – George Clark (Boroughmuir), Mike Dalgety (Melrose), Terrence Froud (Hawick) and Gavin Hastings (Watsonians)

BT Premier Division 2 – Finlay Calder (Edinburgh Academicals), Jim Greenwood (Berwick), Bill McMurtrie (GHA), Keith Wallace (Haddington)

BT Premier Division 3 – Alistair Dodds (Dunfermline), Graham Duff (RHC), Bob Hogarth (Peebles), Fraser Livingston (West of Scotland), Jim Stevenson (Cambuslang)

The successful candidate for BT Premier Division 1 will be determined at an election meeting at Murrayfield on Monday 23 May. The election meeting for BT Premier Division 2 will take place at Raeburn Place, Edinburgh on Wednesday 25 May and the election for BT Premier Division 3 will take place at the RHC club rooms at Barnton, Edinburgh this Thursday (19 May).
