GHK VS HAWICK HARLEQUINS PLATE QUARTER FINAL
The sun was shining and GHK produced a fabulous team performance. Certainly this was the best we have played all season.
Three minutes on the clock and GHK went in front following a break on the right wing by Rory Love finished off Sean Murray. Jamie Millan converted and we were 7-0 ahead. Four minutes later Jamie McKinnon picked up at No 8 and barged over from from 5 yds and it was 12-0
Even this early in the match our backs were threatening every time we had the ball. Thirteen minutes and Colin Donald barged over from 3 yds Jamie converted and it was 19-0. Jamie also slotted a penalty on 20 minutes to make it 22-0.
We then had to wait for a while until just before half time Jamie millan ghosted through the HH defence to score a converted try.
HALF TIME 29-0
Two minutes into the second half John Lohar broke on the blind side and fed Nick Cram for another converted try 36-0. Shortly after Hawick scored from a quick tap following some poor defence 36-7.
GHK hit back following a great break from Mark Oatey from a lineout which was finished off by Jamie Millan 43-7. Next John Lohar burst through following a turnover to make it 50-7. Colin donald picked up from No8 made 40 yds and offloaded and the switch to the other side got McT on the scoresheet 55-7. Shortly Stu Hunter finished off a left break by Sean and we were up to 60-7. Jamie McKinnon was next following a trademark barge by Colin who offloaded for a converted try and it was 67-7. Another break by Rory who offloaded to Sean saw David White finish the scoring at 72-7.
