STEVENSON ELECTED TO SCOTTISH RUGBY COUNCIL

At a meeting at Barnton, Edinburgh tonight members of clubs in BT Premier Division 3 elected Jim Stevenson (Cambuslang) as their representative for the new Scottish Rugby Council.
There were five candidates standing and in the decisive round of voting Mr Stevenson defeated Fraser Livingston (West of Scotland) by six votes to four.
In the first round of voting Alistair Dodds (Dunfermline) and Bob Hogarth (Peebles) lost out and in a subsequent round of voting Graham Duff (RHC) lost out
