Hawks face Navy in tribute match for late Hodgkinson
GLASGOW Hawks will face the Royal Navy next month in a tribute challenge match in memory of the late Marine Craig Hodgkinson.
The 27-year-old former Scotland age-group star collapsed and died in November while playing for the Navy against Cornwall County in Plymouth.
It was later revealed that Hodgkinson, who was a major force in the Hawks squad before joining up with the services, had been struck down by a rare heart condition.
The club will take on the RN at Old Anniesland on Friday, 18 May. Hawks are currently preparing for the Scottish Cup semi-final showdown with local rivals West of Scotland at Burnbrae on Saturday.
