TWO EX HAWKS STEVE AND FERGUS RESIGN FOR GLASGOW

At today's team run, in preparation for the Magners League game against Ulster tomorrow, coach Sean Lineen announced the re-signing of three more key players.
Blindside flanker Steve Swindall, hooker Fergus Thomson and scrum-half Sam Pinder have all pledged the next two seasons to the Warriors, joining stand-off Dan Parks who re-signed earlier this week.

Stevie and Fergus are both named in the starting line up for tomorrow’s game while Sam continues with his rehabilitation following an operation on his left shoulder that has ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

On the signings Warriors’ coach Sean Lineen said: “Steve has been enjoying a rich vein of form in the last two months having cemented his place in the No 6 jersey. He has also been rewarded by a place in the Scotland A training squad for the Barclays Churchill Cup in recent weeks.

“Fergus’ attitude has been a stand out feature this season. He is a real talent and could go all the way to international honours so I’m looking forward to Fergus and our new signing Dougie Hall challenging each other next season.

“Sam is a quality player who has a lot to offer Glasgow in the future. I have no doubt that he will hit the ground running when he recovers from his shoulder operation. I’m expecting big things from him,” he added.
