FOUNDATION and LEVEL 1 REFEREEING COURSES

AUGUST 2005 – DECEMBER 2005

The following is a list of Foundation Refereeing and Level 1 Refereeing Courses being offered in the Glasgow and District from August 2005 to December 2005.

Additional courses can be arranged at your school or club providing that there are at least five participants. Please contact me if you are interested, so that we can arrange a mutually convenient date.

The Level 1 Refereeing Course is 5 hours in total with a practical assessment when the candidate is ready. The cost of the course is £15, which includes membership to the West of Scotland Rugby Referees Society, Law Book, Law Variation Cards and Course handouts. Having passed the exam you are allowed to officiate up to and including, District Leagues, Schools, Youth, all Mini Rugby, Tag and New Image. Your licence will be awarded on completion of the practical assessment.

The Foundation Refereeing Course is 3 hours in total. The cost of the course is £15, which includes membership to the West of Scotland Rugby Referees Society, Law Variation Cards and Course handouts. Having passed the exam you are able to referee New Image, Tag and Mini Rugby up to P7.

To reserve a place on a course please contact me. The closing date is one week before the course. If there are no participants the course will naturally be cancelled so please do not just turn up on the day!

Foundation Wednesday, 31 August 2005: 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm Hamilton RFC
Foundation Wednesday, 28 September 2005: 6.30 p.m. – 9.30 p.m. Hamilton RFC
Level 1 Sunday, 30 October 2005: 10.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. GHA RFC
Foundation Wednesday, 30 November 2005: 6.30 p.m. – 9.30 p.m. Hamilton RFC
