APPLAUSE FOR ‘HODGY’


Craig Hodgkinson will be remembered by a ‘minutes applause’ prior to the kick-off of the rugby match being played in his memory between his former sides – Glasgow Hawks and the Royal Navy at Old Anniesland, Glasgow on Friday 18th May (kick-off 7.30pm).



Royal Marine Craig died playing for the Royal Navy in Plymouth last November of cardiac arrest. His death has led to the creation of the Craig Hodgkinson Trust which will provide cardiac equipment to sports venues in Scotland.



Following a successful day at Murrayfield on 5th May Glasgow Hawks will parade the Scottish Cup and GHK the National Plate and the Man of the Match Award will be presented by sponsor, West End hair stylist, Ellen Conlin-Main.



Entertainment will be provided by the Regimental Band of the Royal Marines and the Glasgow High School Pipe Band. An abseiling tower and simulators will entertain children and match referee Neil Paterson will de delivered

By the Royal Marines from a Sea King helicopter (weather permitting).



Entertainment begins at 6pm. Admission is £10 for adults and £5 for children.
