STEPHEN LARKHAM'S agent today slammed Scottish rugby for keeping the 101-cap Wallaby in the dark about an agreed move to Edinburgh.
The deal has been thrown back into the melting pot by the governing body's takeover of the Capital club but what concerns agent Jason Macarthur is an apparent lack of information from Murrayfield.
"They've made no attempt to contact us," claimed Macarthur amidst reports the player will not be signed.
Macarthur added: "It's certainly disconcerting to know that they've taken back control of the Edinburgh rugby club through another entity and are making public statements about Stephen's contract without speaking to us.
"It's incredibly disappointing ... we're just going through the process now and waiting for formal notification as to whether they intend to abide by the contract or not. We'd already sourced information on property places over there. The Larkhams have made moves in terms of relocating the family and plans were well under way. There has been no formal approach whatsoever from the owner of the club.
"We don't know that they don't intend to honour it but there are media reports to that effect. Other clubs have let us know directly and are interested in knowing whether he is interested in looking elsewhere. But we haven't approached clubs."
An SRU spokesperson said today: "It is (chief executive) Gordon McKie's intention to speak to Stephen Larkham's agent and he has attempted to do so but the matter has been made more difficulty by time differences."
