Adamson on scoresheet for Glasgow

Glasgow Warriors opened their season with a 22-7 win over Rotherham Titans at Millmoor tonight.
Glasgow's tries came from Sam Pinder, Donnie Macfadyen, Chris O'Young and Richie Vernon with Mike Adamson coverting the last score.

Rotherham were the more cohesive team having already played a couple of warm-up games but Glasgow never looked in danger of losing the game.

The Warriors made full use of their travelling squad giving Sean Lineen a good look at the resources at his disposal but the numerous changes did nothing to help the flow of the game.

Daryl Gibson dropped out of the squad due to the imminent arrival of his triplets, but Glasgow's other new signings made their first appearances. Scrum-half Chris O'Young looked sharp and got on the scoresheet with a well taken try while Michael Collins motored around the pitch in good style.

Richie Vernon weighed in with an interception try and was prominent in Glasgow's better moves in the second half.

Opeta Palepoi and Ed Kalman showed they will be useful additions to the Glasgow squad while it was good to see Ben Prescott and Colin Shaw play after so much time on the sidelines due to injury.
