In 1955 Angus Cameron of Glasgow H.S.F.P was appointed vice Captain of Robin Thompson’s British Lions that toured South Africa.
On their return they played a combined Glasgow Accies/Glasgow H.S.F.P. XV at Old Anniesland
The Lions’Select included the likes of Cliff Morgan,Robin Thompson,Tony O'Reilly,Arthur Smith and Rees Williams
The Accies/G.H.S.P. Xv won 21-16
