Roland Reid, the 28-year-old Scotland internationalist, will make his competitive debut for Edinburgh in their pre-season challenge match away to Bath tonight.
Reid, who made a try-scoring Scotland debut against Tonga in 2001, missed an opportunity to renew acquaintance with the South Sea islanders at Myreside last week, having to stand down from the Edinburgh team due to a foot injury.
Edinburgh’s acting head coach Henry Edwards said: “Tonight will be a different challenge playing against a very slick club side. We must aim to build on the encouraging start we made against international opposition last week.”
The match, at Bath’s Recreation Ground, kicks-off at 6.30pm
