From Heriots websiteHeriot's 2nd XV won their home league match versus Glasgow Hawks 2nd XV in dramatic fashion with Harry Monro brother of injured stand off Ander Monro scoring a try with virtually the last act of the game to secure a 24 points to 19 victory over the 2nd XV League Davison 1 leaders. Heriot's other tries came from a brace scored by giant lock Gareth Hann. The 2nd XV man of the match award was given to young centre Greg Cunningham.
Hawks (42 points) remain in 1st position in the league however Heriot's (40 points) have now closed the gap to 2 points with both teams having only two matches left to play it promises to be a close finish.
Third placed side Hawick are on 33 points therefore cannot catch either side even though they have three matches left to play as only three points are awarded for a victory
