Andy Henderson is back in training
Glasgow centre Andrew Henderson trained with the Scotland squad on Thursday for the first time since arriving in France.
The 27-year-old sustained a dead leg injury nearly three weeks ago when Scotland played South Africa in a pre-season match and has been sidelined ever since.
"I'm not running completely freely just yet. This is the first training session I've been involved in. It feels really good," he said after Thursday's training session.
"I was told to see how it was in the warm up and take it from there. We didn't do anything too rough, there was no contact. My range of movement is starting to come."
Andy said the team's next game on Tuesday against Romania might be too soon for him to play, but he was hoping to get the all-clear by the following match, against New Zealand on 23 September.
He said being injured during the first part of the tournament had been frustrating.
"To come down here, to have these fantastic facilities for training and the great weather and not being able to get out there and train with the rest of the guys has been really frustrating.
"I have been kept busy by the physios. There hasn't been much time to hang about and dwell on it. I was really hoping for it to clear a lot quicker. It's quite unpredictable how things heal up."
