GHK 16 Strathendrick 3

A hard fought encounter on the main pitch at Old Anniesland saw GHK emerge with a win though perhaps not by the margin their efforts deserved.

Craig Gossman opened the scoring with a try after five minutes but, despite monopolising both territory and possession, GHK could not add to their tally; indeed it was Strathendrick who scored next with a well taken drop goal on twenty minutes. Craig Gossman then added penalties in the thirtieth and fortieth minutes to make the half time score 11 – 3. Seven minutes into the second half Ali Forbes forced his way over for a trademark try which ended the scoring for the day – bonus points remain elusive targets!
