The only change in the pack sees James Eddie, who scored a sensational try from 60 metres out last weekend, rewarded with a start in place of Richie Vernon.

On Eddie, Lineen said: “We’ve brought James Eddie back in who epitomises what we are about here at Glasgow. He is Glasgow through and through and we need the other 14 payers on the field to show the same kind of passion.”

The three other changes are in the backs where Colin Shaw replaces the injured Thom Evans and Sam Pinder comes in for Chris O’Young who is also sidelined through injury. The third change sees Hefin O’Hare come back into the fray in place of Max Evans who moves to the bench.

On the challenge of the Ospreys, he added: “We need to front-up a bit more. The Welsh teams always give us hard games and facing the league champions is going to be no different. We are preparing for a very tough encounter.”

The Warriors return to their new home at Firhill Arena next Friday night (5 October, kick-off 7:30pm) when they play hosts to Irish province, Connacht.

Tickets for the game are priced at £15 for adults and £5 for concessions (under 18s, students & OAPs) and can be purchased by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0844 800 3490 or by logging onto www.glasgowwarriors.org
