GHK 29 Loch Lomond 0
Back on home turf after last week’s travels but missing a number of players, GHK turned in a mixed performance to see off Loch Lomond by 20 points to nil, earning a bonus point in the process.
With seven minutes on the clock, Craig Gossman broke blind from a five metre scrum to score in the corner. Six minutes later he repeated the feat, this time the forwards disrupting a Loch Lomond put-in allowing him to touch down in the confusion. Bill Criggie converted for 12-0. Twenty minutes into the game John Shannon collected a kick in his own twenty-two metre area and ran it back for a score close to the posts, the two extra points from Bill Criggie made it 19-0 at half time.
GHK introduced some fresh legs at half time; Jerdan, Shannon and Graydon making way for Woolard, McFarlane and Fraser but the game flowed Loch Lomond’s way with GHK pinned in their own half for long periods. Despite all their pressure Loch Lomond were unable to score and mistakes led to GHK turning over possession for Murray Wiseman to score twice in the seventieth and seventy-fifth minutes giving a final score of 29-0.
